At the junction with Severn Street, Nos.299 to 305 Holderness Road, four shops, circa 1890s. In 1899 William Jackson & Sons Ltd. opened confectionery and grocer's shops at Nos.303 & 305, followed by a fruit shop at No.301 in 1914, and a butcher's shop at No.299 in 1926. The shops operated as a supermarket when they were closed in 1984. The legend of William Jackson can just be deciphered on the fascia above the first-floor windows.
