Dywedir bod ceffylau ofn mynd heibio'r garreg, oherwydd melltith y Bwci. Mae'r coed ffawydd yn un o hynodion tir uchel Shir Gâr. It is said that horses fear this stone, because of an ancient spell cast by a Bogeyman ('Bwci' in Welsh). The beech trees are a notable feature on the Carmarthenshire skyline.
