The track to the ancient village of Faxton from the Lamport-Shortwood Road, Northants, crests the minor ridge ahead. Nearby, to the left, stood (stands?) the war-time youth hostel at Shortwood Lodge. Please contact if you can add anything about this old hostel or others like it.
