Part of a run of rich Victorian commercial buildings. The nearest, nos. 79-83, has a Corinthian porch and is by J.A. Chatwin for silversmith William Spurrier, 1871-73. Grade II listed. The buildings beyond are less opulent, and have been rebuilt behind the street elevations. Yeoville Thomason designed nos. 75-77, 1872-73, while the furthest, nos. 71-73, dates from 1873-74 (built for piano makers Rogers & Priestly). Both grade II listed.
