The house on the right (with the plaque between its two ground-floor windows) belonged to the Scottish relatives of that supreme arbiter of Victorian artistic and architectural taste, John Ruskin. As a young boy, Ruskin spent several summer holidays here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ruskin
