Viewed across the largest of the Cwmtillery Lakes, which is fed from two main sources (in addition to rainfall). The first is a feeder channel http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3530491 from Cwmtillery Reservoir. The second is from the former quarrying area seen here, behind the west bank of the lake. Water flows through connected channels and issues into the lake through the outflow beneath a wooden bridge on the right. Mallards swim in the foreground.
