This roundabout, at the southern end of Oxbarn Avenue (just left of centre) where it meets Coalway Road (left to right) and Warstones Road (on whose corner I stood to take the photo), was where Wolverhampton Corporation trolleybus route 32 turned. It came here from the town centre via Penn Road and Coalway Road, and was the first of Wolverhampton's trolleybus routes to be abandoned. The trolleybus routes to Jeffcock Road, Penn Fields, Penn, and Oxbarn Avenue were operated temporarily with motorbuses for a few months in 1961 due to a diversion in the town centre; however, rather than resuming, the 32 was withdrawn in favour of an increased frequency on the 46 motorbus service which duplicated its entire length.
