This is the Station Road side of Pebblestone Cottage, on the corner of Seafield Road, The cottage was Grade II listed in November 1973. The listing text cautiously states "Probably a former toll house". My (non-expert) observations are that the cottage is located alongside the route of the former Sidmouth to Cullompton Turnpike Road (dating from the 1840s), the listing text shows "early 19th century" and the shape and positioning of the building look similar to known toll houses. There is an old milestone near the right edge of the view.
