Seen as part of a Steamboat Association rally. This vessel was built in 1986. The engine is an inverted vertical compound built in 1986 by Anthony Bever at Swindon to an A A Leak design. The cylinders are 4.5" & 7" x 4" with a piston valve on the high pressure and a slide valve on the low pressure. Reverse is by Stephenson's link. The horizontal cylinder alongside is the condenser and the vertical red cylinder is the domestic hot water supply. There are lever driven air and feed pumps operated off the high pressure crosshead. The engine can be operated remotely by the steersman but feeding the boiler requires somebody in the engine room.
