This sheep farm lies at the mouth of the valley of the Whitehaugh Water which has its source high on the moors near Twopenny Knowe (NS6232). This is on the boundary with South Lanarkshire. The triangular shaped wooden fencing along the side of the fields is where new trees will be planted. Grouse moorland is also a feature of the landscape beyond the farm.
