Shocklach Castle, Castletown

Shocklach Castle is a 13th century D-shaped moated enclosure, possibly a later adaptation of the original bailey. It could have been for a fortified manor house. The earlier 12th century motte is situated on the opposite side of the road and is covered in trees.
