This Grade II listed building dates back to the 17th century and has undergone a number of structural changes over the centuries according to the English Heritage website, see http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1160980 for more details. It is one of a number of significant properties in the village of Leverington which were probably merchant's houses when the village was on the coast, see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3504623
