This little documented YHA hostel was in 'several rooms in the upper storey of an old posting establishment attached to a confectionery and catering business,' at 92 High Street, Stony Stratford. Another note states that 'the women’s dorm was in the café; the rest of the hostel was in the outhouses.' It operated through difficult times, from 1939 to 1946. This photo taken 2002.
