Against the backdrop of the houses on Trafalgar Square, Nottinghamshire's Harry Gurney bowls to Yorkshire's Phil Jaques late on the sunny second day of a County Championship match. After being invited to bat, Notts were all out for 443 and shortly after this picture was taken had reduced the hosts to 29 for 3 - but that was as good as it got for the visitors as Yorkshire amassed 572 for 8 declared (captain Andrew Gale 272, Gary Ballance 141, Jaques 51). There was then only time for Notts to reach 105 for 1 as the game ended in a draw.
