Taken in December 1969, this photo shows a 1967 Daimler Fleetline 114H (KEA 114E) with Metro-Cammell 73-seater bodywork in Carters Green working on route 252 from Portland Road (Shireland Inn) to Wednesbury Market Place, a route that was jointly operated with Midland Red. This vehicle was in West Bromwich Corporation Transport Department's recently introduced livery of cream with two light blue bands, but at this time had just been absorbed by the newly created West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive. Bus services in the West Bromwich area are now operated by Diamond Bus and National Express West Midlands.
