Preserved former Great Northern Railway (Ireland) class S 4.4.0 No. 171 "Slieve Gullion" pauses at Bellarena station during the "Colmcille" enthusiast railtour from Belfast (York Road) to Londonderry/Derry (Waterside). Bellarena still had a passing loop in 1970, but this was removed when the station and cabin closed in 1976. Bellarena reopened to passengers in 1982.
