The former Chester City Police Station in stunning Flemish brickwork designed by John Douglas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Douglas_(architect) ), with the date 1884 prominent in raised bricks. Grade-II listed: http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-469793-142-foregate-street- . Zion Chapel, also designed by Douglas is visible to the rear.
