A dignified house of 1776-78 for Edward Turnour Garth, Earl of Winterton. This was built at right angles to an earlier C18th house behind. Grade II* listed. The interior was gutted by fire in 1943 (supposedly by billetted Canadian troops) since when it has been converted to flats. The date of the photo is uncertain.
