The Pier and Floating Jetty, off Queen Victoria Drive, Shotley Gate, jutting out into the Stour estuary. A ship can be seen laying at anchor at Parkeston Quay, Harwich. Behind the photographer are public car parking bays in front of the Bristol Arms pub.
