I don't know exactly what this is. It is inside a fenced enclosure located between Starling Close and this http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3486091 seasonal pond. The enclosure is shown on maps as a pumping station. The inscription on the frame is 1000 KG SWL SF3874 The first line indicates a safe working load of 1,000 kilograms.
