The shape of things to come? Car charging points at the Park & Ride in Kinross. Electric cars are currently promoted as environmentally friendly - theoretically at least, they could also contribute to the challenging task of balancing the demand for electricity with the intermittent output of wind turbines. Time will tell whether charging facilities such as these become ubiquitous.
