Viewed from the corner of Old Gloucester Road. This rundown area, which looked little better in June 2008, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/833068 contrasted with the other areas I visited in the town today. A blue plaque http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/833071 on the building in the middle, formerly the King George's Rest pub, states that the name commemorates King George IV's visit to Ross in 1821.
