A glimpse of "The Hall" (home of the current generation of the Starkey family) and some of its ancillary buildings (now used for functions). Both are seen here on the other side of the cricket pitch from the edge of the apple orchard. In 1849 Henry Merryweather Jnr. - of Bramley apple fame - left Bucklow's School in Queen Street, aged 10 years, to join his father in managing the gardens on this estate.
