The anvil is located in the grassy area Image (see that picture for context); it is set beside the foot of the Image "Anvil used by Henry Bell. ------------------------------- Presented to the Town Council of Helensburgh in August 1912 on the occasion of the Comet Centenary by Messrs R & W McMurrich whose grandfather was blacksmith to Henry Bell".
