The Grade II-listed "Crossing House" on the side of the Nottingham-Lincoln railway route. This former railway cottage was built in 1846 by the Midland Railway Company and is attributed to T. C. Hine, the Victorian architect, who designed other properties on this line. It is built in grey London Brick, considered to be unusual for Nottinghamshire. Further ahead, along "Old Main Road", Corporation Cottages, Bulcote Farm and the River Trent are to be found.
