Opened in 1866 jointly by the Great Northern Railway and the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway on the line from Doncaster to Wakefield. View south east towards Hampole and Doncaster. The main station building used to be near the far end of the right hand platform with a goods shed beyond.
