"Westhorpe", one of Westhorpe's principal roads, peters out here at this junction. Ahead and marked by a finger sign is a public footpath. To the left is Bath Lane, leading to what remains of St Catherine's Well and bath house (situated within the boundary of a private residence) and to the right is the commencement (or end) of Leachcroft Hill, a road that connects with Oxton Road (the B6386). A former cattle watering place can be seen on the side of the road that is filled by a water from the Westhorpe Dumble (water course). It also acted as a watering hole for stray cattle being kept in the village Pinfold, a field to the right of the chevron-style road sign.
