At the top of Haynes Lane, a person in a carrot suit advertises the Food Market taking place down the lane. So far as I can tell from local publicity, the person in the suit is one of the market's organisers, rather than some unfortunate school-leaver on a minimum wage. Crystal Palace Food Market is a Saturday market of various organic and artisan foods, taking place where Haynes Lane meets Bedwardine Road. The buildings on the right are part of a complex of which the major part is the Sainsbury's on Westow Street.
