When the new Ballymena railway station opened in 1904 it was surrounded by an ornamental fence with fancy gate pillars. Most has since been removed with the passage of time and new construction work on the railway Image and bus stations Image This small section, fronting the Galgorm Road, remains. The area can be seen on page 18 of “The Northern Counties Railway” by JRL Currie (David & Charles) 1974.
