Poulton Hall archway, Morecambe

This 14th Century Grade II listed structure has a 'moving' story: 'This archway was formerly on this site as the entrance to old Poulton Hall and was removed to the Morecambe Town Hall in 1932. It was returned to its original position in 1997. Poulton Hall, the Manor House of Poulton le Sands, was owned in part in the 15th and 16th centuries by President George Washington's direct paternal ancestors, whose main residence was at Warton' http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-391857-poulton-hall-archway-morecambe-lancashir There is an information panel nearby which is unfortunately vandalised by graffiti and difficult to read completely.
