Wombwell (West) railway station, Yorkshire, 2009

Opened in 1897 by the Midland Railway on the line from Sheffield to Leeds. View south east towards Elsecar and Sheffield, on a snowy day. The station was called Wombwell West between 1950 and 1969. The road bridge beyond the station was replaced by a new one in 2020.
