This stretch of the canal is not only becoming partly obstructed by vegetation, but features a wide selection of litter and rubbish caught up in the vegetation. No doubt the canal weedcutter boat will be along shortly; but it seems the sort of thing that ought to be done in autumn and winter rather than late spring.
