This is a far cry from the modern luxury hostels of HINI, the present acronym for YHANI. The little corrugated iron hut, still miraculously standing, was operated by YHANI from about 1950 to 1955. It was the second in the village, and although far-flung from Belfast was popular with cyclists for a time. After the war YHANI embarked on a programme of expansion into the further reaches of the province. The Grid Reference is taken from the NI one-inch map of 1978. The hostel was a short way down the Kiltyclogher lane from the Belcoo to Garrison road: the cross roads sign can be seen on the left. Kindly contact if you know any more about this or other old YHANI hostels.
