This was used to grade flour into 3 or 4 grades or to just remove the bran. This is lacking the gauze over the inclined cylinder. Although not very sophisticated, it was a staple item of machinery in the traditional mill with millstones. The more modern roller mills are very much more complicated. On the wall next to is switchgear from when the wheel was used to operate a generator.
