The Llangollen branch of the Shropshire Union Canal loops through the north west of the gridsquare; this view shows the right-angle bend adjacent to the Nantwich road (concealed by the belt of trees on the right). To the north of the canal (left) is one of the rare arable fields in this area of predominantly pasture. View on a tranquil February afternoon
