The footpath used by Shakespeare's Way passes through this lovely parkland, with mature trees. To the right is a 17th century dovecot, shaped like a Greek cross. In front of the trees is a structure that was probably a former ice house. Closer at hand, one surrounded by a wooden frame, are two pits, which seem to connect to a covered pipe that leads towards the ice house. Explanations welcomed.
