Caergwrle railway station, Flintshire

Opened in 1873 as "Bridge End" by the Wrexham, Mold and Connah's Quay Railway, this station was renamed "Caergwrle Castle in 1899, then "Caergrwle Castle and Wells" in 1908. In 1974, it became "Caergwrle". View south towards Cefn-y-bedd and Wrexham. The station was only being served by Wrexham-Bidston line trains when this image was taken.
