Green Lane is part of an ancient green lane that used to connect Malden Green with Lower Morden. It can be seen on a map of Surrey from 1762, but not by name. Here beyond the hedge on the right is a horse pasture while to the left is what was Worcester Park Sewage Works and is now the exclusive Hamptons development.
