"Sinterlation” is a new sculpture in place at the northern end of the new refurbished Redcar Esplanade with the new offshore wind turbine farm in the background (April 30 2013). Created by renowned sculptor Ian Randall as a lasting tribute to the town’s fishing and steel connections, its base features four vessels, designed to represent the town’s relationship with its fishing fleet, while four large stainless steel chains showcase the links to the nearby blast furnace.
