The church on the corner of Westgate and Sandringham Road was built in 1870 (at a cost of £750) for the use of all the Nonconformist denominations in the new town. It is thought to have been designed and built by John William Beeton. Of local carstone, it has a polygonal apse and a terracotta frieze running below the Y-traceried windows.
