A rare intervention in the form of piling protects Old Forge Drive from erosion by the river at a sharp bend. Otherwise a characteristic Redditch scene: natural features cheek-by-jowl with late 20th-century development. Above the river an HGV pulls out of Howard Road, midpoint of the extensive Park Farm industrial estate. The view is from the accessible riverbank to the south of Ipsley Pool.
