Opened in 1862 by the London Chatham and Dover Railway at the place where the line to Sevenoaks diverged, this station closed in 1939 when it was replaced by the current one, around 300m further west, just out of sight to the left. View north west on the Sevenoaks lines towards the junction. The main building and Chatham line platforms were to the right.
