The line from Otford to Maidstone East was opened on 1st June 1874 by the London, Chatham & Dover Railway. Wrotham station opened on the same day. It was renamed Borough Green & Wrotham on 18th June 1962. This is the view from the up platform in the direction of Maidstone East past the station buildings located on the down platform.
