This small wooded area is on the site of the end of a cutting that carried railway sidings servicing the local colliery. The public footpath leads from Image (behind the viewpoint) through the trees and across a Image (ahead) to fields and hence on toward Image between Waterloo and Parkhouse Green, Lower Pilsley.
