Old Bablake School

Bablake School was founded by Thomas Wheatley for poor boys in 1560 and occupied the east range of a building originally occupied by a college of priests associated with St John's church, next door. Parts of the building date from the 15th or 16th century onwards. A grade I listed building. On the extreme right is a 1930s frontage on Corporation Street.
