The Powmillon Burn runs right alongside Bridge Street at this point. The bridge seen directly ahead carries the burn under Stonehouse Road (or possibly Kirk Street depending where it changes its name). Beyond this, sitting up on a bank, are the remains of Strathaven's castle - see Image] and http://www.strathavencastle.t83.net for more details.
