Still called 'East' although the West Junction disappeared several decades ago. A far cry from the scene depicted by Ben Brooksbank's view from 1957 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2818296 The junction with the former line to Stockport was later truncated to form sidings, but now even these have disappeared leaving only a refuge loop and crossover to be controlled by the signal box.
