Photo taken from a point just across the Wey Navigation from the site of the former Newark Mill - a fine old weather-boarded structure of substantial size, destroyed by fire in 1966. http://www.francisfrith.com/newark,surrey/photos/the-mill-1903_49300/#utmcsr=google.co.uk&utmcmd=referral&utmccn=google.co.uk The long, low structure - timber-framed with brick 'nogging' - may well have been part of the mill's outbuildings, now apparently residential.
