Interrupting the row of Georgian town houses is No.20, former Police Station, 1902-1904, by Joseph H. Hirst. Edwardian Baroque style. Originally, the premises also had an entrance in Alfred Gelder Street; this side was remodelled and incorporated into a department store circa 1970s.
