The Green bus would have had a number in the 700s if a Green Line coach, or 3/400s for London Country routes, not this bogus London number seen repeated on the red bus next to it. Technically the coaches had closed rear doors and luggage racks, otherwise they were the same as the buses. This looks like an open platform so probably was a London Country green bus. When they were transferred to private provincial firms the bus numbers were taken up by London Buses, and mainly used for split routes where the higher number indicated a route making up half of a longer one, such as the 28/328 and 52/302.
